The age of the new super powerful
and low profile mini wind turbine is changing the way people
do things and think.
When most people get serious about
alternative energy they do not just buy ONE solar panel, they
purchase 4 or 5 and sometimes even 10 or 12 solar panels if they
really want to cut the power company off. Well the same philosophy
applies to wind turbines! Putting up just ONE wind turbine is
not going to create any kind of electrical miracle, it takes
many turbines to make an impact on your power bill. The old "ONE
Wind Turbine" mentality does not work in this era of the
smaller and un-intrusive mini turbines. The idea is to put up
as many as you can and mount them lower. Not disturbing your
neighbors is the key to opening the wind market in America. Having
several small, low profile wind turbines dotting your property
does not seem to bother people! With this tactic it is as if
the wind turbines are almost invisible on your property! 87,000

will also learn to accept Wind turbines as icons of energy independence.
In Germany over 200,000 wind turbines
now dot the sky line. These wind turbines have come to be admired
as "Majestic Giants" by a modern and progressive society
that is no longer making the middle-east any wealthier.
Many of our customers have decided
to install dozens of mini turbines rather than erecting one large
10KW wind turbine on an expensive tower since it is about the
same total cost for less wattage. Also do not forget the "EYE
SORE" factor of having a 80 foot tall tower on your property!
This will not only devalue your neighbors property investment
but most likely yours too! At least in this age nobody appreciates
a BIG 80 foot tall wind turbine next to them! Mini wind farm
advantages are many.

Mini wind farms blend in with scenery and have a high acceptance
rate from neighbors and community.
(You need to be in an area that has good wind near ground
level like high deserts, coast lines, mountain tops plus canyons
and passes)
There are plenty of areas with good wind near or close to
ground level. There is much talk of having very tall towers in
the wind turbine industry but NOT every area requires this type
of strategy. At our facility for instance, it's difficult to
remain standing on very windy days. If you can feel a strong
breeze while walking on your property you are in a perfect spot
for a low level mini wind farm. There are millions of sites all
over the world that have good low level wind characteristics
just perfect for mini wind farms.
No Bird Strike with mini turbines - Mini wind turbine
farms are mounted low to ground and a birds brain is "Hard
Wired" to fly very evasively when gliding near ground level.
Studies show that when birds fly at 30 feet or lower they become
much more alert! They fear running into tree branches, vines,
brushes, predators and all the other hazards that near ground
level flight presents. For these reason birds and even bats successfully
avoid contact with the whirling blades of LOW LEVEL MOUNTED mini
wind turbines. Also the slight "Whooshing" sound that
the mini wind turbine emits is enough to keep birds at a safe
distance.
Most recorded bird strikes occur at the larger industrial
sized wind turbine farms and for good reason. Birds relax when
flying high about the tree line and do not expect to get WHACKED
by a fast moving propeller when flying 200 feet above ground
level. Those blades are very high, silent and moving at over
70 MPH... WHACK!!!

BATTERY TALES:
Hints for people that are attempting to operate a household
and are not on the grid:
Get a fork lift battery! Try calling places that sell used
fork lifts. The 12 volt batteries that run fork lifts are the
best! Many of these old batteries are discarded because they
can no longer operate a fork lift for a full 8 hour work day
but they still have enough operational life to run your household
for many decades. Many can be bought at recycling prices and
still have 100 times more amperage than a brand new bank of automotive
type batteries that will only last for 2 or 3 years.
Lifespan of battery types while
engaged in demanding alternative energy use:
Cheapest bargain store bought automotive
battery - 6 to 8 months life before it goes to the junk heap.
Professional battery store bought T105
battery - 2 to 3 years life before it goes to the junk heap.
Professional battery store bought L-16
battery - 4 to 7 years life before it goes to the junk heap.
Industrial bougWS Fork Lift battery
- The one I own is 31 years old now, I will let you all know
when it finally dies.

THREE PHASE WIRED PMA's are NOT
GOOD-
It is VERY hard to run 3 wires down
the pole and keep them from twisting.
We put the rectified inside our
PMA's so you only one need ONE wire (welding cable) in the pole.
This works very well while having
three wire is just to many and tends to be very problematic.
Electrical short on three wire / three phase PMA's will occur
sooner or later so our testing has found. Three phase or three
wires in the pole is NOT RECOMMENDED!

Three wires will never work for
more than a year before failing.

Installation -
Any licensed general contractor can install a wind turbine.
If you can
work with pipe, cement and electricity you can easily install
an wind turbine.
PMA's are very polarity sensitive.
Make sure you connect positive to positive when making your final
battery connection!!! If you see sparks coming from the connector
at the time of electrical hook up you may have the positive lead
going to negative side of the battery. This may cause fires and
burn out the coils in your PMA immediately.
Please note that these blades are
very sharp and can cause severe injury if handled improperly.
Treat these blades with the same respect you would have for a
sharp sword.
These blade sets can turn at well
over 2000 RPM on a windy day and can cause severe bodily injury
when they are spinning. Use extreme caution! Never mount or work
on a wind turbine on a windy day. Never place a turbine in any
area that can be accessed by inexperienced persons or children.
We assume no liability for ANY injuries caused by these products.
NOTE: WIND
TURBINES SHOULD BE LOWERED BEFORE ANY MAJOR STORMS JUST AS GOOD
PRACTICE!
