Most people have an inherent pre-conceived
notion that a property should have only ONE wind turbine.
It puzzles us to see people putting
in 10 solar panels and ONLY one wind turbine and then wondering
why the wind turbine puts out less power than their 10 solar
panels. If you put in 10 Wind Slave wind generators and ONLY
one solar panel then you would be wondering why the solar panel
puts out less power.
We need to re-educate the public
into realizing that having multiple wind turbines are not only
a practical solution but an absolute necessity for creating low
cost electrical energy. The inherent misconception of having
only ONE wind turbine per property is a myth that has to be actively
talked about and challenged.
Wind Slaves have broken a major pricing
barrier and for the first time it makes sense to put up a mini
wind farm instead of one large wind turbine. Many people have
decided to install as many as 20 to 30 Wind Slaves for the same
price of installing a large10KW wind turbine. Mini wind farm
advantages are many.
Mini Wind Farm Advantages:
More total power per dollar spent.
Easy self installation. No cranes or
heavy equipment needed.
Progressive affordability. Start small
and add more turbines as you can afford them.
Redundant dependability with multiple
Very winter proof! Snow and ice create
no major problems for small wind turbines.
No building permits required in many
areas for low level turbines mounted under 28 feet high.
Flexibly. Add ONLY as many turbines
as you need to run your household.
Less conspicuous than a giant 80 foot
tall tower requiring a giant 160 foot radial fall zone.
Can be placed closer to property lines.
Great for small properties (Fall Zone Rule)
No expensive towers to buy that can
actually cost more than the wind turbine itself!!!!!!!!!!
Mini wind farms blend in with scenery
and have a high acceptance rate from neighbors and community.
(You need to be in an area that has
good wind near ground level like high deserts, coastal or mountain
tops and passes)
There are plenty of areas with good
wind near or close to ground level. There is much talk of having
very tall towers in the wind turbine industry but NOT every area
requires this type of strategy. At our facility for instance,
it's difficult to remain standing on very windy days. If you
can feel a strong breeze while walking on your property you are
in a perfect spot for a low level mini wind farm. There are millions
of sites all over the world that have good low level wind characteristics
just perfect for mini wind farms.
Wind Slave wind turbines can be coated
with our tough Green Marine Coating to protect them around ocean environments.
The Wind Slave turbine
has no furling or other protection device for high wind speeds.
When the wind is galing you should
be making power and not hiding.
We are one of the few companies
that offer high speed power ratings!
This turbine is designed to take
full advantage of punishing wind conditions.
Blades are rated to:135 MPH / TESTED
(Note: 99.9% of all catastrophic
wind turbine failures occur when
the tower fails and not the turbine
itself. Build your towers tough!)
PMA's are very polarity sensitive.
Make sure you connect positive to positive when making your final
battery connection!!! If you see sparks coming from the connector
at the time of electrical hook up you may have the positive lead
going to negative side of the battery. This may cause fires and
burn out the coils in your PMA immediately.
Please note that these blades are
very sharp and can cause severe injury if handled improperly.
Treat these blades with the same respect you would have for a
These blade sets can turn at well
over 2000 RPM on a windy day and can cause severe bodily injury
when they are spinning. Use extreme caution! Never mount or work
on a wind turbine on a windy day. Never place a turbine in any
area that can be accessed by inexperienced persons or children.
We assume no liability for ANY injuries caused by these products.
If you short out the PMA wires to prevent
free spinning you could burn out the PMA. Never connect the positive
to the negative output wires of the PMA together!!
