THE PAPER FUEL FILTER STORY:

Paper and other organic filters (cellulose) can swell and clog on contact with many types of Methyl or Ethyl Esters (Vegetable Oils)

 

What can I do if I have a thread on type fuel filter cartridge ?

 

Take a small rotary cutting tool (Dremel®) and completely GUT your stock fuel filter making it into an empty hollow shell, ,,,just call it a PLACE HOLDER if you like and simply thread it back in-line with your fuel system after you have washed it out VERY well for metal fillings! Now you still need to filter your fuel so acquire any stainless steel, porous brass or even a plastic mesh type in-line fuel filter made for power-boats or race-cars and mount it anywhere on your fuel line.

Having a SEE THROUGH type with a glass bowl is very nice!!!
